Beverly and Joe - November 14
Beverly and Joe called me about a year ago from Texas. They were living there, but going to move to MN this past June. So the majority of the planning was done via email and there few trips up North. We had so much fun and it was great to have them actually in the state. It was fun to host a destination wedding for about 75% of the weddings guests... Beverly and Joe were only here in MN so that Joe could attend Dental School, so most of the guests were from all over the country!
It was wonderful to help them plan their intimate wedding as well as learn more about the different cultural traditions such as the Korean Ceremony that took place at the reception.
I hope that you both have a wonderful time during your stay in Minnesota and Thanks for including me in your celebration and planning!

Michelle and John - September 26
Michelle and John’s wedding was not only a fun one for me to plan.. but a personal one too. Michelle is my sister in law (Andy’s Sister). John and her were together for many years before the engagement and we were all very happy to have him “officially” join the family. They were engaged last December while Michelle was doing an internship in Montana... so last Christmas break for her she came back and we looked at reception sites! It was so much fun working with someone so close to me. The day of course was wonderful, we had fantastic weather and everything turned out great. Thanks to my fantastic assistant Meghan I was really able to sit back and enjoy the time with family!

So Many Things to Be Thankful For!
It’s this time of year when I believe most people slow down, spend time with friends and family and reflect on all of life’s gifts. That is no different for me. This is the time of year where most importantly... I have time! Its hard to explain how lucky I feel.... I am so blessed to be able to wake up and do a job I love. Who wouldn’t love working with happy couples on one of their most memorable days of their life. Not only am I able to share in their day, I am so lucky to own my own business, turn my dream into a full time career. Very rarely do I actually sit back and thing of that.... I am doing what I love to do!! And it feel fantastic! Every swollen pair of feet, Saturday spent away from my family is worth it to me.... and that is really why I want people to hire us... because we LOVE what we do and I really think it shows!
Of course this year the icing on the cake was winning the Twin Cities Icon Award and The Knots“ Best of Weddings” Award... I can not believe it!! My goal for this company was always to do what I love, be successful and have fun... and I can say.. we are doing all of that!!
It would not be fair to right a Thankful for email without mentioning my assistants.... All of them! They are my right hand gals with whom I would Never be able to do what I do. I am not sure how some people do it on their own, but the fact that I have a constant support system, an extra set of hands and a different perspective only make the “Day of” the wedding run smoother, so Andrea, Meghan, Brooke, Alyssa, Natalie and Caitlin... I am so thankful...
In addition to my lovely assistants, my husband and family are a constant reminder of what great people I have in my life.
Andy, My husband has given up numerous Saturdays to set up chair covers, move table, do last minute errands, you name it... he has done it! I love you.. and I Love that you let me do what I love! Darci, my soon to be sister in law and my brother have ran to my house in a hurry to grab items, my best friend Danielle has literally helped “Throw Hay” at a wedding and my parents spent their Valentines Day setting up tables for a big wedding we did!!
To all of our vendors, for giving us wonderful people to recommend, wonderful friends to share time with and amazing memories for each one of our couples!
And last, the reason why I am able to do what I love... Thanks to all of our couples this year.. The ones that are married, the ones that newly hired us and to all of their families. Thank you for making us family!! I feel like I get a new set of friends every year and I am so lucky!!
Merry Christmas and I hope that I can continue to share with you all of our weddings, memories and experiences for a long time!
Lots of Love, Sarah!
Gone For The Holidays!!
Happy Holidays to you and your families! I will be out of the office until Monday, December 28th!! If you need anything please email and I will get back to you then. I hope you all have safe travels and we avoid this huge storm!!

Krystle and Pierce - July 18th
Krystle and Pierce were married on a sunny July day at the Mill City Museum. This wedding was so fun for us because not only was Krystle my neighbor (that I did not know until she inquired about services) but she was practically Martha Stewart herself! Wow.... she DIY’ed so many of her details and they turned out amazing! I loved her combination of Damask and Hot Pink! It was stunning....

Max and Julia - July 11
Max and Julia were married this past summer at Minnetonka Orchards.. It was a beautiful day and the temperature and rain were perfect for a wonderful outdoor wedding and tented recepton.
They were both so wonderful to work with. They live in Rochester, so we did a lot of the planning via email and planning meetings every other month! Julia is so creative and had some great ideas.. we were able to incorporate the things that were really important to Julia and Max... Music, Nature and Ice Cream :) We had Coldstone Creamery come out and serve icecream cake and it was GREAT!
Julia crafted “Handmade Platable Paper” that we used as Escort Cards and we had to incorporate apples... we were in the orchard after all!
Max and Julia... I hope you have a wonderful first holiday together!!

Anna and Mark - September 12, 2009
I had the Pleasure to work with Anna and Mark Last September. It is such a Small World... Anna is my best friend’s College Roomate. Obviously over 4 years of college I became good friends with her as well. Anna grew up in Benson, MN.. so when I found out she was getting married in my hometown I just had to laugh!! I am from a small town and there are not a lot of venues there, so very rarely does it draw in people from out of town...
Anna was married at Willow Lake Farm. A local farm that Anna helped out with environmental projects through the University of MN. So needless to say, its a small world and it was a lot of fun to “Go Home” and plan this AMAZING wedding on the farm! Anna and Mark worked for months to get this farm ready to go, and they did a fantastic job. I am so happy I was able to share in their special day!!!
Thanks to Federer Photgraphy for these wonderful Images!
