Katie and Colin

I had the pleasure of working with Katie and Colin last Saturday for their Windy May 1st Wedding! Katie called me about a month ago telling me “I think I need your help!!”. She had contacted me months earlier after she was referred to me from Molly at Molly’s Flower Studio. Katie, like many other brides, said that she had a tight budget and did not think she could make a “Day of Planner” fit into her budget. Of course I always understand that and wished Katie well on the rest of her planning! I am very glad she had a change of heart because we had so much fun!! Katie not only had wonderful vendors, but her attention to detail is a dream come true for a planner! The ladies at the MN History Center were amazing!! I was so excited to work at their amazing venue and their service did not disappoint! They have such a wonderful “team” approach there.. Thanks Michelle and Christie!!!

Kentucky Derby Wedding

Like many others, I get Kentucky Derby Fever around this time of year. And even though I did not get to see the race this year becuase I was putting final touches on Katie and Colin’s wedding I thought it was fun to think of southern weddings that really “get into” the Kentucky Derby and create a derby themed wedding. The derby is glamourus, timeless and an all around fun event, so why not incorporate that into your wedding? These are also great ideas for a Kentucky derby viewing party (Which I vow to throw if I ever have that Saturday free!)

Minnesota Bride's Best of 2010 Nominee!!

                                                        

I can not even express my excitement on Friday afternoon when I found out were were one of the 3 top nominated Wedding Planners in 2010 by Minnesota Bride Magazine!!!!!!
                                        

I saw it online, quickly ran outside to tell my husband!! I have felt so blessed all year with the many awards that we have been lucky enough to win.. But when I saw this nomination I could not believe my eyes. I can not even start to tell you what a joy it is to get up every day and do a job you love. And on top of that, to be nominated for one of the areas top awards after only 4 years in business is BEYOND my wildest dreams!
I want to thank all of my wonderful clients and vendors who voted for us. It is our pleasure to work with all of you!

Carnations....

I Love Carnations!! I know it sounds funny.. especially ever since I can remember I told everyone.. buy me flowers.. but dont ever buy Carnations! I get that same response from my brides when I say... what do you think about Carnations?
But they are soon surprised when I show them photos of what I mean... Carnations are so vesitle, inexpensive and fun if put into the right arrangement! Here are some of my favorite ideas from our weddings and from magazines!

Bridesmaid's Are Jumping For Joy!

A Re-Wearable Bridesmaid Dress... Why didn’t anyone think of this earlier? It is funny that it took until 2010 to get bridesmaid dresses that were... Just really nice dresses and could easily be worn to an office party, your friends wedding and out for dinner! I am excited that not only are these very attractive, but accessible as well. J Crew, Anthropologie, White House Black Market, and Ann Taylor are just a few of the companies that have now launched Bridesmaid’s dresses. Urban Outfitters is working on a brand that will be coming out soon!

For Sale...

We are selling our Standard Light Ivory/Off white Chair Covers to make ways for some new ones. We have approx. 270 of these covers. I will be open to splitting them up between a few buyer if that is possible. Get a great deal on these covers. We rent them for $1.85, you are able to BUY them for $2.20 per cover. They will all be washed, pressed and hung for immediate use. There are small stains, marks on some of the covers as they have been rented out 10-15 times. When the weather heats up it always seems like MN gets baseball fever and with the new field this year it is certainly no different. Not only am excited about the new Stadium and the Tan I will get while watching the game, but I am also so excited for Victoria’s Secrets new line of Major League Baseball Clothing!! I can not wait to get my hands on one of these cute new outfits!
