One of My Favorite Ideas
Nate and Jessica were a wonderful and creative couple to work with! I will blog more about their unique and amazing decor later... I had just went online to check out their fun pictures for Traveling Photobooth. How fun are these pictures! You can really tell the couples personality in this photo! Congratulations Jessica and Nate!
June 6th- Christie and James
I realize I am a few weeks behind on the picture postings.. I am happy the reason for that is because I am very busy with a month full of weddings! I will post my June 7th weddings soon!!!
Christie and James were great! The wedding was at Stonebrooke Golf Course and unfortunatly the rain did not hold off, so we did have to do the ceremony inside, but Christie and James were laid back and adjusted to the elements! For more of the professional pictures visit: Happily Ever After!

Jen and Peter- May 31st
This past weekend we did a really fun wedding at Minnetonka Orchards! Jen and Pete were so wonderful to work with. They came to me right after Christmas and we planned the whole thing in a few months! We had no intention of the wedding being in May, but once they found the orchard they knew they wanted it there and they would comprimise on a quick planning process. Jen and Peter were so organized that it really felt like we had been planning it forever. The rain held off until around 8pm, so we were blessed to have a day outside in the sun. Congratulations Jen and Peter!

Kia and Mike
I had the pleasure of doing a wedding this weekend for Kia and Mike. I met both of them about a year ago and the first time I met them you could feel the love between them. Kia has a wonderful vision and really knew what she wanted her wedding to look like. It was AMAZING! The weather held off just long enough to have their ceremony in Irvine Park and then we followed with a cocktail hour, dinner and reception at 317 on Rice Park. Here are a few of the wonderful pictures. These are simply off my camera, so I am excited to post the professional ones when they are ready! Congrats Mr and Mrs Olson!

Princess Cruise
I was lucky enough to take a vacation from the cold a few weeks ago. My husband and I went to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. I really enjoyed it and I would encourage anyone to take a cruise. It was so great to wake up in the morning in a different city. And of course the ship itself had some amazing activities. I spoke with a few couples on their honeymoon and some ships even have chapels to get married. If you are thinking of something out of the ordinary.. that may be the route to take!
Of Course, it was not all play. I did stop at Dreams Resort in Puerto Vallarta. It is a lovely all inclusive resort with wonderful services offered for destination weddings and honeymoons! http://www.dreamsresorts.com/drepv/index.html

Most of my brides know me as just their planner, the person they come to to get wedding answers and assitance. So I thought it would be fun to give you an idea who I am when I am not planning weddings!
Favorite Part of Being a Wedding Planner
I LOVE the wonderful couples that I get to work with. There is no better feeling in the world than someone enjoy the Best Day of Their Life. I love knowing that I am saving the couple time, stress and worries. I will do everything in my power to make sure that they are taken care of and that the day and the planning process goes smooth!

Unique Wedding Ideas
One of the reasons that couples are finding the need for a wedding planner is that we do this for a career and we are good at thinking of ideas! One of the services I offer my couples is a "List" that I have compiled over the years that points out some fun ideas to really customize your day!
Here are a few:
o Predinner Predictions- Guests found a card asking them to make 10-year predictions for the couple. It is a great way to get your guests to laugh and mingle!
o Table Numbers- Do something more creative than just using a number. Some great ideas are using photos of places where you have traveled, names of your favorite restaurants, favorite movies, places you have went on dates, etc.
o Place Trivia cards or questions about the couple at each place setting that way when the guests are waiting to get their meal they can learn some fun facts.
o Consider using your favors as escort cards; use your favors as centerpieces also. Consider doing potted plants and tie a little note to the plan explaining that guests are welcome to take it home when they leave.
o Send off snacks are a fun way to leave your guests with reminder of your special day. If you are not doing favors this a great alternative. Treat your guests to popcorn, cones of French fries, ice cream, donuts, warm chocolate chip cookies, etc.
o If your venue offers valet considering asking your valets to place favors in your guests dashboards when they retrieve their cars.
