A little About Sarah....
Most of my brides know me as just their planner, the person they come to to get wedding answers and assitance. So I thought it would be fun to give you an idea who I am when I am not planning weddings!

Tracy and Travis- March 7th
On Friday night I had the joy of watching Tracy and Travis get married at Stonebrooke Golf Course in Shakopee. They were such a great couple and it was obvious their feelings for each other. This was a fun and colorful wedding. Professional pictures still to come. Congratulations Tracy and Travis!

Unique Wedding Ideas
One of the reasons that couples are finding the need for a wedding planner is that we do this for a career and we are good at thinking of ideas! One of the services I offer my couples is a "List" that I have compiled over the years that points out some fun ideas to really customize your day!
Here are a few:
o Predinner Predictions- Guests found a card asking them to make 10-year predictions for the couple. It is a great way to get your guests to laugh and mingle!
o Table Numbers- Do something more creative than just using a number. Some great ideas are using photos of places where you have traveled, names of your favorite restaurants, favorite movies, places you have went on dates, etc.
o Place Trivia cards or questions about the couple at each place setting that way when the guests are waiting to get their meal they can learn some fun facts.
o Consider using your favors as escort cards; use your favors as centerpieces also. Consider doing potted plants and tie a little note to the plan explaining that guests are welcome to take it home when they leave.
o Send off snacks are a fun way to leave your guests with reminder of your special day. If you are not doing favors this a great alternative. Treat your guests to popcorn, cones of French fries, ice cream, donuts, warm chocolate chip cookies, etc.
o If your venue offers valet considering asking your valets to place favors in your guests dashboards when they retrieve their cars.

Winter Weddings
I was lucky enough to do 3 Winter Weddings this past season. Winter is typically the "slow months" for weddings, however I love how so many people are embracing the cold winter months. There are so many cute decorations that can be used and a lot of great themes to work with! The first one was December 1st, the first snow storm of the day. Despite the weather Katy and Jim's Wedding was great. Most of the relatives were from up north, so a little snow would not stop them!

Our next wedding was December 28th. Beth and Kevin were a joy to work with and it was fun to be apart of this "Christmas" themed wedding! With everything from hot apple cider, Christmas Trees, Ornaments, and plenty of Christmas Treats!

A few weeks ago I ventured up north to Bluefin Bay with Kelley and Scott. This was a fun filled wedding weekend where guests could enjoy all that Minnesota and winter had to offer. Guests skied, went ice skating, used the outdoor pool and hot tub, and relaxed in this wonderful resort!

A Little Blue Box.....
There is something about a little blue box with the name Tiffany's printed on it that just makes a girls heart go pitter-patter, or least it does to mine! So needless to say there is nothing better than being proposed too and seeing that box. Tiffany's has just added the neatest new product to their collection. The "Marry Me" charm bracelet.
Men.... what better way to propose to the girl who loves Tiffany's? I loved this idea and I am sure that tons of girls out there love it too!

Crate and Barrel Event
I have been noticing a lot of advertisements for the Crate and Barrel Bridal Events. They are holding "Wedding Parties" to show engaged couples entertaining tips and all the newest products! Check one out in your area!
Lutsen
If anyone is looking for a great place to get married that is a "mini-destination" simply go up north!
I am doing a wedding there this coming weekend and went up last weekend to do some scouting around. It is beautiful, inexpensive and a great place to enjoy your day with friends and family. I stayed in the Lutsen Resort (www.lutsenresort) in one of their townhomes and it was great! Big enough to spread out and very nicely kept. This trip got an A+ from me and I would recommend it for a wedding or for a little getaway! Call us if you need coordination in that area. I went to college in Duluth and love the area!!!!!
