Vera and Jon- August 22nd

Vera and Jon were married on a beautiful summer day in St. Paul!! Vera is from Russia so planning this wedding was a wonderful learning experience for me. I loved learning of all of the traditions and it was especially touching listening to the speeches in Russian and interacting with her friends and families from afar. The Always wonderful staff at the St. Paul Hotel made the day great and the decor really worked in the M Street Cafe! Thanks to Lisa at Happily Ever After for these Great Images! Annie and Eric- September 5th

Annie and Eric were married last Saturday in Eric's Families backyard in Inver Grove Heights. I began working with them over a year ago and it was a lot of fun. Eric and Annie live in Washington DC. Happy Anniversary.....

I write and think about other peoples weddings and perfect day.... all of the time.. but rarely do I write about mine!! I do get asked alot about our big day... well today is our anniversary! Happy Anniversary Andy!!
Andy and I have been together for about 7 years and now married for 3! It feels like it was just yesterday! We have had 3 years worth of fun adventures and I can not wait to see what the future holds! Andy is truly my better half.. and it is proven more and more everyday. After all, he is married to a gal that works every weekend!!

When asked about my own wedding.. The main question is... what would have you done differently knowing what you know now. That is tough.. because EVERY DAY I find new ideas that I love and different things I would have done. But the good news is that I get to plan a wedding everyday and use all of those ideas!

Here are some fun facts about our wedding (I am a little more unconventional than I ever thought)
1. We got married in Okoboji, Iowa - Its a "beach" town and 30 minutes from where Andy and I grew up
2. I had 2 "bridemen" stand up on my side of the wedding... Quentin and Bryan, they have been some of my best friends since I was in 3rd grade.
3. I was walked down the aisle by my step dad and my dad.
4. I had a pink ribbon sewn into the back of my dress... because It was before color in dresses and I am not really an "all white" kind of gal!
5. My "specialty drink" was Margaritas! We had 2 Margarita Machines... mmmmmm
6. I planned the whole wedding in 5 months... and never even thought that was fast at the time... oh, all of the things you learn! HAHA

I love you Andy.. thanks for being my rock, my best friend and my husband!

Tanya an Alan

Tanya and Alan were married on June 27. Andrea and Meghan had a great time setting up all of Tanyas Wonderful creations and finds. I have a lot of DIY brides but Tanya was one of the best! I really loved the decor, mainly because I LOVE Pink and really felt that this was a look I would have picked for my own wedding! These are not the professional pics yet, but we are excited to see them when Meghan Doll Gets them done. Not only was the decor wonderful but Tanya had a ton of Wonderful vendors as well! Thanks to everyone who pulled off this 400 person wedding!

Minnesota Bride!!!!

I always look forward to the NEW Minnesota Bride! I love looking through all of the new pictures, articles and to look through all of the vendor listings! This issue was fun for more reasons.... I was flipping through to find the article I had been interviewed for in it! So look at the Open Bar article for some advice on the always tough subject, should we have open bar or not! I also loved the Landmark Center Ad. It featured my beautiful couple, Kia and Mike! The photos were by Bellagala and it is still one of my favorites! Thanks MN Bride for making this a great issue to get in my mail box!

Katie and Jim - June 27th

On June 27th I had the pleasure of helping Jim and Katie with their amazing wedding! We have been working together for over the last year planning their wedding at Katie' Parents Home in Chisago City. The whole time Katie and Jim lived in Chicago. So it was fun to see them when they came into town and I had the pleasure of working with their families and really help create this amazing backyard wedding!

I see a lot of cool things... but their first dance tops the charts. Katie loves the water and loves skiing..... So when she told me that she and Jim would do a "secret" water ski dance for their first suprise dance I was sooooo excited!! It was a secret and it was so hard to keep!! I will post the whole video when I get it, but Katie emailed me this today before she left on her honeymoon! I cant wait to show more details... but look at my wonderful bride who is not afraid of a little water or sand on her (even before dinner... she is a trooper!)

Jenny and Travis - May 30th

The Wedding of Jennifer and Travis really marked the start of summer in my eyes. The weather was warm and we traveled over to New Richmond, Wisconsin for a fun wedding! I remember when I first met Jennifer we realized that her time of year was Peony season!!!!! I love Peonies and am always sad that we can only have them for a few weeks a year. But Jenny made up for it... we had lots of them!! Congratulations you guys, it was a wonderful wedding.
